Hey!! I am an aussie bride to be…and I think that is the dress in the movie BRIDE WARS!! Its beautiful!

You can get your dress made…there are people out there that can do that well.

The thing is..you need to find someone you can go visit for the fittings…and you will need at least 3 of those.

I would look online and find out who makes wedding dresses in a place you can travel to if there isnt one in your town.

There are also places that make patterns for dresses based on photos.
They are trained at this…and do a good job! Look in bridal mags for anyone advertising for that, or online for businesses that have a website for the same.

I was going to do that here, but I ended up finding what I wanted and getting it made there instead.

The costs depend on the fabric used and the amount. And you will have to pay for the seamstress to sew it….plus the pattern draft.

Sadly..wedding dresses are pretty expensive, but if you want that dress, see if you can get your loved ones to chip in so you can afford it. Its a beautiful dress and you will get it much cheaper than VW prices!

Depending on what materials you choose to use and who you go through (ie a dressmaker or a bridal designer) it can cost anywhere between $400 – $8000.
I would assume throught a dressmaker with mid range materials and detail on the dress it would be around $1000 give or take.

I just did a search on eBay & came up with one pattern. I did not even search for a pattern, so I think you would have good luck there. Any good seamstress could make a dress. Go to a fabric shop to get recommendations for a seamstress in your area.

the dress is quite a common ‘fairytale’ wedding dress, before you take the option of getting it made, i would have a loook around at some cheaper bridal places first. of course, you can get any dress you think of made but it is still a little pricey. good luck!
